The Best 0.5mm Sketching Pen for Architecture Students

We who love the 0.5mm pens have a hard life. It's surprisingly difficult to find one that actually works the way you want it to. We've been through dozens of promises that "this is the one you've been looking for" from so many companies, only to be left disappointed. All we want is a thin, crisp, consistent line from a pen that works til the ink is gone without spending $20 per pen. Is that too much to ask?

We thought so, but then we found this one. We've used other 0.5mm pens from Sharpie that left us disappointed, but they must've been deep in their bag of tricks for this one. This pen is less than $2 and it works like a dream. With 2,400+ Reviews and an average 4.7 Stars, it's fair to say the internet agrees.

The line truly is 0.5mm and comes in crisp. The tip doesn't break, spill ink, or dry out over time. It makes a consistent line and always puts ink on the page when you put it on the page. You can write or draw for hours and expect that this pen will continue to perform, time after time. It's a little hard to explain, but there's even an artistic quality to the stroke of this pen, so handwriting looks even better than it does with a basic pen.

We cannot put into words the pure joy and relief we felt when we first found this pen, to know that what we hoped for actually exists. For our architecture students out there, this sketching pen recommendation is a gift for you. Most of your semester will consist of hand-sketching design ideas, so you might as well make it something enjoyable.

There is no greater sketching pleasure than using this pen in our recommended sketchbook. Both have over 2,400 reviews and an average 4.7 Star rating or higher.

Trust us on this one, you'll thank yourself later.
